Hi my loves!! Today I’m so excited to finally share my CLOSET CLEAN OUT & MAKEOVER with all of you! When G and I first moved into our home, we completely DIY’d this closet space and the layout wasn’t the best. Lucky for us, The Container Store and Life in Jeneral came to the rescue to completely revamp this space and create a design and system that maximized every little nook and crevice, from the floor to the ceiling. For those of you who missed our last closet revamp with The Container Store and Life in Jeneral, we loved how it turned out so we were beyond excited to partner with them again on our bedroom closet makeover! Every detail of this closet space turned out to be such a dream! It’s sophisticated, timeless, and most importantly, functional. It really makes us feel like we have our life together and has helped us tremendously through this transitional phase as a family of 4!
We chose the Avera custom closet for our space and what I love most is the flexibility that this closet system provides. I really love that you can customize every element of your closet such as the wood, handles, shelving, and lighting. Every detail of the Avera is truly a dream, from the full extension drawers, to the shoe storage, and LED lighting that brightens and dims with the touch of a remote control. We really had a hard time choosing one of the four finishes because they’re all so beautiful, but we ended up deciding on the Cloud matte woodgrain finish along with the dimmable LED lighting which is really such a gamechanger! The whole process from start to finish was really easy and seamless as well. The Container Store worked with us to schedule a professional measurement appointment to make sure all the measurements were accurate for the design and installation. Next, we visited our local Container Store to see the Avera closet displays in person which really put everything into perspective and helped us envision the space. You can also choose to tackle the design with a closet expert virtually, but we worked with a designer in-store. Once installation day came along, the team coordinated everything really seamlessly and got straight to business!
Before Life in Jeneral came in to professional organize our space, we didn’t even have a designated spot for all of our things and had so many areas that weren’t used properly. They really helped me make sense of the space and purge, declutter, and let go of things that I no longer needed. I’m beyond happy with the system they created. Not only is it functional, but it’s aesthetically pleasing and looks beautiful thanks to all the beautiful organization pieces from the Container Store. Some of my favorites are the , linen drawer organizers, and that all look so chic and perfectly compliment the brass elements in the space. We loved it so much that we actually removed our closet door so we can display it!
